Boots Simply Sensitive Cleansing Lotion Review

Sunday, 24 March 2013

Hello everyone! I have a quick review for you today on a product I've been using for about a month and a half. I found the Boots Simply Sensitive range when i was browsing the skincare isle. I needed some new products to add to my skincare routine and thought i'd give their cleansing lotion a go, i also purchased their toner, eye cream and daily moisturiser from the same range.

The packaging reminds me a lot of the Simple Skincare (coincidence maybe?)

Honestly, i thought this cleanser was pretty average. It had a very faint smell (which i didn't mind), i had to use this twice on my face to remove my makeup and even then it still left some of my foundation behind. Also it leaves a slight greasy residue which for my oily/combination skin doesn't work for me. I always cleanse with a face wash afterwards to remove the rest of my makeup.
I suppose you get what you pay for, it retails for £2.79 at Boots and they are currently having a third off offer on this skincare range. It comes in a 200ml bottle which is lasting my ages. I'm still going to continue using this until it has ran out but i probably wont repurchase it.
However i will definately repurchase the toner and daily moisturiser because i thoroughly enjoyed using them.
Have you tried any products from this range?
Thankyou!

Garnier Nourishing Hand Cream Review

Hello everyone! Recently I've been suffering with extremely dry hands due to Britain's indecisive weather and Soap and Glory's Hand Food just hasn't been moisturising enough for me. But I've found my saviour! I saw these Garnier hand creams while wondering around the isles in Boots and the 7 day moisture claim drew me in.

I love the packaging (probably because green is my favourite colour) it's the perfect size for just chucking in your handbag.

I purchased the dry and rough hands formula which contains L-Bifidus which is an anti-evaporate active to help lock in as much moisture as possible and mango oil, which helps nourish and intensively replenish dry hands.
Firstly this hand cream smells delicious! It reminds me of a tropical fruit salad and the smell isn't too over-powering and sickly.
I've been using this hand cream for just over a month. My hands definately felt and looked noticeably smoother and softer within the first week of use. It absorbs a lot faster than Soap and Glory Hand Food and feels less greasy aswell.
It costs £2.99 for a 100ml tube from Boots and i will definately repurchase this product.

Have you tried this product yet?
Thankyou!

The Reading Corner: A Tiny Bit Marvellous

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

Hello everyone! I feel out of the loop lately because my internet has been down for almost a week, i can't believe how much i rely on it! But i'm back now! Anyway moving swiftly on, I've recently finished reading an amazing book called A Tiny Bit Marvellous which is written by Dawn French. Does anyone else miss watching The Vicar of Dibley?
It is a story which is told from the perspective of 3 characters who are; Mo who is a child psychologist who is having trouble understanding her own children (slightly ironic) and not only that but she is also about to turn 50. The second character is Dora who is Mo's daughter she is about to turn 18 and is the typical stroppy teenager and then there's Peter (who's my favourite) he has a fixation with Oscar Wilde. The dad also has his own little chapter near the end of the book as well.

Firstly, Dawn French is a very talented writer, her humour definately shines through the whole book. This is such an addictive book, i wanted to know how each character felt about a certain situation and each character is like-able in their own way. Also there's a great twist in this book but if you want to find out what it is you'll have to read it yourself.
I really want to read her newest book now!
Even if you're not a fan of Dawn French's comedy tv shows, you'll still love this book.

Have you read this book yet?
I hope you enjoyed this post
Thankyou!
