The Reading Corner: A Tiny Bit Marvellous

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

Hello everyone! I feel out of the loop lately because my internet has been down for almost a week, i can't believe how much i rely on it! But i'm back now! Anyway moving swiftly on, I've recently finished reading an amazing book called A Tiny Bit Marvellous which is written by Dawn French. Does anyone else miss watching The Vicar of Dibley?
It is a story which is told from the perspective of 3 characters who are; Mo who is a child psychologist who is having trouble understanding her own children (slightly ironic) and not only that but she is also about to turn 50. The second character is Dora who is Mo's daughter she is about to turn 18 and is the typical stroppy teenager and then there's Peter (who's my favourite) he has a fixation with Oscar Wilde. The dad also has his own little chapter near the end of the book as well.

Firstly, Dawn French is a very talented writer, her humour definately shines through the whole book. This is such an addictive book, i wanted to know how each character felt about a certain situation and each character is like-able in their own way. Also there's a great twist in this book but if you want to find out what it is you'll have to read it yourself.
I really want to read her newest book now!
Even if you're not a fan of Dawn French's comedy tv shows, you'll still love this book.

Have you read this book yet?
I hope you enjoyed this post
Thankyou!
xx
